This Smith Rock sunset engagement session was everything you’d dream of for a desert engagement session!?☀️

I met Dan & Ish for the first time a month ago at a wedding shoot for photographers in Bellingham. I immediately knew I wanted to be better friends with them! They were kind, hilarious, and SO damn talented as photographers. (Follow them on Instagram @juniperandfog !)

On my trip through Oregon, my photographer friends Michelle, Alesia & I met up with them at Smith Rock one evening. They graciously volunteered to model for us – AND they’re engaged + hadn’t had an engagement session yet! They’ve been together almost 10 years now and are two of the best humans I’ve ever met. Even in the little time I’ve known them!

We started the evening in the tall grass around Smith Rock, taking advantage of the 10 minutes of sun we got (thanks, smoke!). They brought beige & burnt orange shirts that were a dream to shoot – plus, Dan’s nails were looking faaabulous.

Dan & Ish then changed into formal outfits, rocking black & maroon tuxes and making all the hikers’ heads turn? The smoke cleared a little for us at the end of the evening, bringing out the beautiful rocks for the background of our photos.
