say hello to your cat-loving, pnw-obsessed washington elopement photographer

A lil’ backstory on why I do what I do - because it plays a huge role in my business!

First things first: Travel is a huuuge part of my life and has honestly shaped, well, EVERYTHING about how I run my business. My parents were teachers at international schools, so my brother & I lived in five - yes, FIVE! - different countries as kids.

Traveling so often helped me become open minded, good at planning, and a pro at dealing with shit as it happens. When everyone else is freaking out, you’ll probably find me keeping my cool.

Go-with-the-flow is my middle name!

“She was positive, creative and made us feel like our best selves. She was encouraging and easy to work with.”

"Danielle is everything we hoped for & more in a wedding photographer! She's attentive, detail oriented, & an expert at her craft."

now, I'm a Washington Elopement Photographer

serving the Bellingham area & beyond

In the beginning stages of my biz, I started school at a university (hello Whitworth), just like everyone else was doing. But, my priority was always my business, never school.

I realized that school wasn’t for everyone and why not follow my gut?! I could totally be financially independent by working for myself full-time.  And that’s how I became a college dropout & wear that title PROUDLY!

I’m alllll about building a life you love. If that means eloping in private, in an industry that tells you “bigger is better” I’m here to support you every damn step of the way. I’ll welcome your differences with open arms, and you’ll never find me judging you for anything.

Then in the middle of the semester, I realized I couldn’t wake up everyday + continue doing something I didn’t love.

& I’ve made it my mission to help couples choose to celebrate themselves no matter what.

When I dropped out of college, I learned a LOT about stepping out of my comfort zone. This helped me evolve my photography business from senior portraits to weddings and now, elopements. As I’ve grown my business, I’ve broken the mold of what you’re “supposed” to do. I’ve faced and overcome my fears of disappointing other people. Because who gives a shit if you “disappoint” someone, if it means doing what’s right for you?

I’ll always advocate for doing your own damn thing, whether that’s in a traditional wedding, microwedding, or (my sweet spot) an elopement. It’s important to me that we’re the best fit for each other + for what your vision. Whatever you decide, plan the day YOU want. Not the wedding you’re expected to have.

Cool - so why elopements?
