This romantic, intimate, fall Cape Kiwanda elopement was the Oregon Coast elopement of my dreams! Anyone else want a Pacific City elopement now?!

The Cape Kiwanda Elopement

Back in November, I attended Wander Workshop with a group of awesome photographers. We got the honor of photographing this intimate fall Cape Kiwanda elopement with Ash and Adam! They actually got married over the summer, but loved the opportunity to participate in another special little celebration. Let’s get into the details!

Oregon Coast Elopement Ideas

This Oregon Coast elopement with Ash & Adam was truly filled with so many unique & fun ways of celebrating!

We started with them getting ready together at a gorgeous AirBnb. Every detail had so much thought put into it. Ash had stylish, white elopement boots and a boho patterned Daci gown. Adam wore a fashionable blue checkered suit from ASOS! Brier and Ivy, a Portland wedding florist team, did an incredible job styling the elopement. They highlighted the details with babys breath and created a stunning earthy, boho bouquet for Ash. This featured a variety of white and cream flowers with some pretty pops of pink and purple!

Ash got ready with the help of Make Me Up Cyn as Adam put on his suit and bolo tie from Lookout Bolo. Afterward, they wrote in their vow books together. Writing your vows together is such an underrated way to make your day even more special!

They got into their wedding gear together, and then headed to Pacific City for their rainy Cape Kiwanda elopement! It felt like the Oregon Coast was experiencing a monsoon: crazy winds, insanely high tides, and it was COLD. But these two were such troopers and made it an absolute blast anyway!

They exchanged their vows at the top of a hill in an private, quiet Cape Kiwanda ceremony! Nothing was happening around them except the waves crashing against the red rocks. The ceremony was stunning & I’ll always remember how they were able to take in the beautiful scenery while being alone together. (Except for the cameras of us workshop-attendee photographers!)

After their ceremony, we took Ash and Adam around the landscape for some gorgeous Cape Kiwanda elopement photos and explore. We went through these pretty quickly because of the awful weather, but had so much fun photographing this couple who was so excited despite the unpredictable environment!

Intimate Elopement Reception Ideas

Once we finished at Cape Kiwanda, we headed back with Ash and Adam to the AirBnb in Lincoln City for a private reception. It can be hard to think of ideas for a private reception if you’re eloping and don’t have a ton of guests (or any, in this case!), so here’s what they did!

They celebrated at a beautiful tablescape styled by Brier and Ivy, surrounded by string lights, earthy floral arrangements, and candlelight. They broke the rule we all learned as kids: they ate dessert before dinner 😉 Ash and Adam ended the day eating a ton of milk and cookies and it was the cutest sh*t ever. And yummiest. Basically, it was a super fun and creative way to celebrate and eat their favorite snack!!

All in all, this day was freaking amazing and Ash and Adam are two of the sweetest souls I’ve ever met. Love you two!!
