This Oregon Summer wedding in the forest was not just stunning, but also one of the most touching weddings I’ve seen. Take a little look at Jessi and Spencer’s love story below!

“Spencer and I met in high school in theatre class where I complimented his handwriting. The girls in the theater class always had a list of highest to lowest on who they would want to do a kissing scene with. Spencer was always at the top of my list. Our first kiss was in a Shakespeare play. We got married in the play and the kissing scene wasn’t even initially part of it. We had an A and B cast and we decided we wanted to see who could do a kissing scene better and I asked our teacher if we could add it. During the play and after Spencer would always yell wifey and I would yell hubby back to greet each other. We started dating the fall after high school after we had ran into each other again at a friend’s get together. We’ve been inseparable ever since.

Jessi got ready for her Oregon wedding with her mom & best girlfriends at one of their houses nearby. Her friend Shawna did everyone’s hair & makeup and they all looked just stunning! Sticking to tradition, Jessi incorporated her “something blue” by using a promise ring Spencer had given her a while ago and her “something borrowed” was her grandma’s chain bracelet.

Spencer spent the morning with his closest friends, figuring out how to tie his bowtie – spoiler alert: the guys didn’t get it tied correctly until right before the first look.

Jessi & Spencer had their first look under a gorgeous tree at their Oregon wedding venue- and they turned out just stunning if I do say so myself. They surprised each other with some really sweet gifts while they were there. Spencer loves comics & superheroes, so Jessi gifted him a customized comic book cover of them (with their cats’ names at the bottom). And since they love to cook together, Spencer gave Jessi a cooking knife that he etched in “Mrs. Payeur” himself. After lots of adorable pre wedding hugs, Jessi and her dad had a sweet first look- where we all ended up shedding a few tears.

Jessi and Spencer held their Oregon wedding ceremony in the forest with light gleaming through the trees, nothing short of a fairy tale. Despite COVID, they were luckily able to have their friends & family attend even with Oregon’s restrictions. They recited vows they’d written for each other – cue all the tears in the audience!

Their friends & family set up the most gorgeous reception area, with photos throughout their time dating, cute vases/floral arrangements, and a beautiful dessert table. Before listening to toasts from their loved ones, everybody grabbed delicious tacos from the taco truck they rented for dinner. Best idea ever!
After having the classic, already tear-jerking first dances with each other & with their parents, Jessi honored her grandparents with a first dance. They’ve been married for 62 years and are the biggest inspiration of a relationship for Jessi. They’re two of the most special people in her life, and they danced to “Remember When,” by Allen Jackson. EVERYBODY had tears streaming down their faces.
It was one of the most beautiful moments I’ve gotten to witness at a wedding.❤️

Jessi & Spencer ended the night dancing with their loved ones and eating hella good cupcakes
I miss these two already and am over the moon happy for them. They’ve been through so much together and despite everything that 2020 hit them with, they’re finally married. Congrats, Mr. & Mrs. Payeur!??
