Oahu Botanical Garden Proposal | Moriah + Caleb

Miscellaneous

When my friend Kali & I set up this shoot, we planned for it to be a beautiful, simple bridal shoot in the mountains of Hawaii. And MAN, was it that and SO much more.
A couple of weeks before our trip, Caleb messaged Kali saying he was going to propose during our shoot, and we FREEEEAKED!! Proposals are one of my all-time favorite things to capture, and we had no idea the day could get more perfect. But it did.?We arrived to the Ho’omaluhia Botanical Garden the morning of the shoot to find the most beautiful clouds + fog covering the tops of the green mountains, and Caleb excited as HELL. Moriah went to the bathroom to change and wanted to take him with, but we made him stay because we needed to confirm our plan of action for when he dropped to one knee?We started the shoot out with the most beautiful portraits of Moriah & Caleb walking through the grass, dancing, snuggling, and doing lots of machine gun kisses (if you’ve ever had a session, with me, you know what that means)?
Once we started doing portraits of just Moriah, I snuck over to Caleb and handed him his ring box. He was nervous, but I could tell he was so ready to do this. So we directed Moriah to turn around so we could “snap some photos of the back of her dress,” and as soon as we asked her to turn around, there he was. On one knee. Telling her why he loved her. That she was going to be the most amazing wife & mother. Asking her to be his forever. And as soon as she said yes, almost like clockwork, it started pouring down the most magical rain. I kid you not, it was like a movie scene.✨
Caleb had some of their good friends come along and they all ran over to celebrate, and my heart was overwhelmed with joy. What a beautiful morning that we got to spend with the most beautiful couple, and now FIANCÉS!?
A HUGE CONGRATS to Moriah & Caleb? It was the biggest honor getting to witness this day!?
